DESCRIPTION:I'm looking forward to giving the keynote at the 2020 Northern 
 New England TESOL Conference.  This event will be held online on Saturday
 \, November 7th. NNETESOL brings together English language professionals f
 rom Vermont\, New Hampshire\, and Maine for a day of networking\, sharing\

 ation form is here. My bit is from 9-10 a.m.\n\nTeaching in Challenging Ti
 mes\n\nTeaching is hard enough on its own without the added stresses of de
 aling with public health concerns\, keeping students safe\, and dealing wi
 th the technology and extra work required to handle hybrid and remote clas
 ses. In this interactive talk\, we will examine some concepts to help us d
 eal with added stresses\; look at some ways of encouraging and developing 
 ourselves and our students\; and review some classroom activities to promo
 te student learning\, interaction\, motivation\, and well-being.
