Plenary at California TESOL.
Advances in language teaching technology have promised to transform our teaching for well over fifty years. What has really changed during that time? What have we learned from fifty years of technological progress? In this presentation we will examine some key teaching principles embodied in the technology of the past, and explore the lessons learned from them. We will consider uses of technology for communication, professional development, and classroom instruction. As we review the past, we’ll look at how some of the key concepts can inform our teaching in the classroom of today.
